Entry from the Sleaford Standard after a visit to the Meeting House by Prince Charles.

"Prince Charles was welcomed by flag waving crowds when he made a whistle stop tour of Lincolnshire on Tuesday.

The Prince visited Hill Holt Wood project at Norton Disney to learn about the youth training courses there before taking time to visit Brant Broughton.

There he took everyone by surprise when he turned down his waiting Jaguar and walked from St Helen's Church to the Quaker Meeting House in the village.

A large crowd followed behind him as he walked along Church Walk, Church Lane and High Street into Meeting House Lane.

The Prince of Wales, who is the Patron of the Lincolnshire Old Churches Trust, visited the church to see restoration work funded by the Trust and meet those involved with the project.

The Prince of Wales was shown around a converted carriage shed in the garden of the Quaker Meeting House which has been adapted into a local heritage room and is used for classes and village group meetings, as well as by Quakers. There he met people involved in an upholstery class."
